Whether or not you can obtain ideal results when moderating focus groups significantly depends on the correct, professional question technique. What are the moderator’s roles? Which moderation techniques are there – when and how should they be applied?
We will show you how to efficiently and purposefully moderate focus groups. By applying practical exercises, you will learn to ask the right questions, recognise and lead group dynamics and processes and respond adequately to interruptions. In addition, you will also gain the skills to give an informed assessment of a moderator.
- Roles and responsibilities of a moderator
- Substantive skills of the moderator
- Recognise and lead group dynamics and processes
- Questioning techniques
- Projective, associative and creative moderation techniques
- Dealing with interruptions
The seminar is designed for employees at institutional bodies and operational market researchers, who themselves seek to moderate focus groups or observe and evaluate such activities.
The seminars take place at the Spiegel Institut.
Individualised in-house seminars at your company:
In addition to events held at the Spiegel Institut, upon request we can also organise our seminars directly at your offices. In-house seminars are a good idea, for example, if you want to train your entire team. We would be happy to draw up an individualised seminar programme, tailored to your needs. We look forward to hearing from you!
