Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience – Foundation Level (CPUX-F)
CPUX-F Training
- In this seminar, we provide the foundation for the development of user-centred systems, products and services and a deep insight into activities and methods of human-centered design (HCD).
- In addition to a usability and UX knowledge base, we prepare you for a successful certification exam – CPUX-F.
- The content of the seminar is based on the curriculum of the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB®).
Certification exam
- The exam is conducted online. You set the date and time yourself after making a personal appointment; the timing is independent of the training.
- There are 40 multiple-choice questions to answer, and you need to score 70% of the possible points to pass. You have 75 minutes to complete the exam, which has always been sufficient time in the past.
- We strongly recommend taking the exam in the same language as the training. If it is not your native language, you will be given a 15-minute extension—please check the box when registering.
Various formats
You can choose between online participation and an in-person event. We also offer our training courses on-site at your premises for your teams. In-house training is ideal if you want to train an entire team, for example. In all formats, questions from participants are common and welcome; they enrich the training and enable in-depth discussion of the content.

Online Training:
- 5 sessions of 2.5 hours each
- 2.5 days
- 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- All days are available for content, exercises, training questions, the mock exam, and discussion of the exam.
- The theoretical exam takes place online after a personal appointment has been made.
- Questions from participants are very welcome and enrich the discussion and the seminar.
In person Training:
- 2 days
- 9:00 a.m. to approx. 5:30 p.m.
- All days are available for content, exercises, training questions, and questions from participants, as well as discussion of these topics.
- The training takes place at the Spiegel Institute or in centrally located premises.
- The theoretical exam takes place online after a personal appointment has been made.
- At the end of the training, you will receive a sample exam to answer yourself, plus solutions, comments, and further in-depth questions.
